LSU FLORES MBA ASSOCIATION

The Flores MBA Association (MBAA) is a graduate-level student organization designed to enhance the MBA experience. Since its inception, the MBAA has served as an effective conduit between our students, the community, and business leaders from around the globe. The primary goals of the MBAA are to:

  • Promote personal and professional growth outside of the classroom setting
  • Promote personal and professional growth outside of the classroom setting
  • Nourish a strong, lasting sense of comradery between our fellow students
  • Develop extensive professional networks to benefit both students and business leaders
  • Uphold a positive professional image of the Flores MBA Program

In order to achieve these goals, our officers are constantly working to develop and execute a diverse series of events that can be enjoyed by all members of the association. These events provide great opportunities for professional development, networking, socializing, and recreational activity. Each year, the MBAA organizes a mentor/mentee program that pairs our 1st year students with ou r 2nd year students. The purpose of the program is to provide guidance and assistance to our new students as they begin the program. The mentor/mentee program is also a great way to promote comradery between our members.

The MBAA also sponsors and organizes a number of professional development programs. This fall, the MBAA will be initiating a "Breakfast Club" which will consist of a series of morning presentations from local business leaders. Each presentation will focus on one of our MBA specializations such as Marketing, Information Technology, Entrepreneurship, Finance, and many more. During the spring semesters, we will rollout our new and improved Leadership Development Initiative (LDI). The LDI will consist of a series of evening seminars focused on the theory and practice of effective leadership. Each of these programs will provide great networking opportunities for our members.
