Hello! My name is Lindsey DeSeamus, and I am a second year MBA student. I am originally from Marrero, Louisiana (geaux West Bank!), which is a small suburb right outside of the city of New Orleans. I attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama for undergrad, where I received two degrees: a B.A. in Communications and a B.S. in Business Administration. I also had the opportunity to study in London while in undergrad, which was an incredible experience. I took side trips to Liverpool, Scotland, and Paris while there, and would definitely recommend that any of the first year students interested in studying abroad consider either the China or Ecuador trip. Totally immersing yourself in a different culture is one of the greatest learning experiences you will ever have.
My current concentrations are Marketing and Entrepreneurship. After completing my first year of the Flores program, I interned at the Louisiana Business and Technology Center as a business counselor. LBTC provides management assistance to small business owners and entrepreneurs to stimulate small business formation, growth, and survival. I am also the president of the LSU Chapter of NAWMBA, the National Association of Women MBAs. It is such a privilege to be associated with such an amazing group of women, who are going to change the world. For my future plans, I am currently searching for a job here in Baton Rouge. I love this state, and I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
