Meet Your MBA Colleagues

Jamie Landry

Hello! My name is Jamie Landry. I am a Cajun girl from a small town, but make no mistake; I’m full of city twang and have a habit for shopping. In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, baking, test driving cars out of my price range, and spoiling my brand new niece, Ava.

I grew up in Pierre Part, a booming metropolis; I mean… a small town one hour south of Baton Rouge. I graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management in 2008 just before starting the MBA program. I loved the experience of living on my own in a new place and cheering on the tigers every chance I had.

Throughout my MBA career, I have had two internships with Amedysis, a home health agency headquartered in Baton Rouge. I received wonderful experience working there, especially my first summer, when I was able to accompany the CEO, Bill Borne, on a trip to Washington D.C.

I am currently engaged to a pretty amazing guy. His name is Chris Nakamoto, and he is a television reporter at WBRZ, the local ABC station in town. I am having a blast planning our big day happening April 16th, and look forward to visiting Japan for the first time on our honeymoon.

Upon graduation, Chris and I plan to blaze a trail looking for opportunities we can’t wait to explore. This might involve moving away…but it’s all soon to be figured out! One thing is for certain, I will cherish the times I’ve had with dear friends as an MBA student.
