Mr. Tomlinson is the Vice President of Operations Support for Cameron, the leading provider of flow equipment products, systems, and services to worldwide oil, gas and process industries.

Also, Dean Jones will come speak to us about some important issues regarding the Flores MBA program.

Mentor-Mentee Mini Golf 9/17
We're going to go mini-golfing in our mentor-mentee groups this Thursday at Celebration Station! Be there by 6:30. Included for free: 18 holes of mini golf and 10 game tokens per person.

Abita Pub Crawl 9/18
The Abita Pub Crawl is back! Registration starts at 6pm at the Roux House and Happy's downtown. You can get $1 Abita at every location and the first 500 people to arrive get a free t-shirt so get there early! Locations are as follows: Roux House and Happys from 6-8 pm, Boudreaux's and Thibodeaux's from 8-9 pm and Red Star and Puncher's Sports Bar from 9-10 pm. See their website here for more info. Fred's Young Professional's Night 9/18
Fred's is having their Young Professional's Night again this Friday. There will be free draft beer from 6-7 and an open bar from 7-9. There will also be free Raising Canes, Mellow Mushroom, and mexican food at 7:30! Please see an MBA officer sometime this week for a wristband.

Football Tailgating
Some students have expressed interest in having an MBA tailgate for the Florida and Auburn games. If you would like to help organize something or have a tent, supplies, etc. please e-mail ehalphen@gmail.com.

 
MBAA Professional Development

Our first MBAA Dinner Club Series is Tuesday, September 22nd at 7:00 pm in Rm.2147 Patrick F. Taylor Hall. Our speaker will be Kurt Witcher, Director of Sales Engineering at Hypercube LLC, the speech topic is Investment Capital. Dinner will be provided.

 
GA Poisition Available

The Highway Safety Research Group here at LSU is looking for several GA’s to assist with research, data quality, website development, maintenance, statistics and documentation.

The candidates should be hard workers, work well in teams, have at least 1.5 years remaining at LSU, and have good verbal and written communication skills.  Experience with SQL, database, web development, and research is preferred.

Hires will be made in October.  From October to December of 2009, the pay will be on an hourly basis and will convert to GA status beginning in with the Spring 2010 semester.

Philantrhopy

Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost.  This year the walk will take place on Sunday, Oct 18th at Galvez Plaza in downtown Baton Rouge.  The opening ceremony begins at 6:30pm and the walk starts at 7:00pm.
Tessa LeBlanc has a team that participates in the walk and you can sign up for free at http://pages.lightthenight.org/la/Brouge09/RallyforRachael.  Small donations are highly encouraged but not required.  It will also count for 2-3 hours for Organizational Behavior.  Contact Tessa LeBlanc (tessaleblanc@gmail.com) for more info!

The MBA Ballers 2, under leadership of Stan Savage, dominated the tennis (makeshif basketball) courts Tuesday night. MBA Ballers 1 and MBA Ballers Futbol Club fell victim to biased referees and adverse weather conditions. Come cheer on your classmates at this week's games:
