MBAA Wine and Cheese Social
Friday October 16, 8pm-10pm
Wine Loft, Downtown BR

Don't forget about the Wine and Cheese Social this Friday. The event, which is at the Wine Loft, will feature unlimited house wine and beer from 8-10 along with soft drinks, cheese, and fruit. All MBAA members can attend for free and guests can attend for $25. Cocktail attire is required!

Recreation

MBA intramural sports are really ramping up. MBA soccer is playing their first playoff game next Monday at 8:30. Their game was scheduled for this week but was postponed due to lightning. It is rumored that the other team was so scared of losing, they paid a shaman to summon a storm to delay their impending defeat.

Flag football starts Thursday night at 8:30. The MBA football team is ready to dominate and got some pointers from a certain NFL quarterback who was on campus this Saturday.

Finally, the MBA volleyball team got their first W last night. The opposing team literally jumped the Rec's fence when they saw Tessa LeBlanc lay down a nasty spike.

Volleyball and football will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, respectively, at 8:30pm.

MBA Sports: More exciting than baseball.

Light the Night

Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost.  This year the walk will take place on Sunday, Oct 18th at Galvez Plaza in downtown Baton Rouge.  The opening ceremony begins at 6:30pm and the walk starts at 7:00pm.  Tessa LeBlanc has a team that participates in the walk and you can sign up for free at http://pages.lightthenight.org/la/Brouge09/RallyforRachael.  Small donations are highly encouraged but not required.  It will also count for 2-3 hours for Organizational Behavior.  ContactTessa LeBlanc (tessaleblanc@gmail.com) for more info!
