Philanthropy
Friends of the LSU Libraries Annual Book Bazaar
March 5th, 6th, and 7th

This event supports the LSU libraries. It will take place in the Ag Center facilities next to Parker Coliseum. The organization needs volunteers to run cash registers, stock tables and shelves, and help customers. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Melinda (mrome1@lsu.edu) or Chris (cdean11@lsu.edu) as soon as possible.

Financial Literacy Program
Volunteers are needed to assist Blaine Grimes with a financial literacy course. This course helps people understand basic financial skills that most people take for granted. Classes are every Monday from January 26th to May 25th from 8 to 9 am, 9 to 10 am, or 4 to 5 pm. You do not need to help out every Monday nor at every time slot, but we think it would be great to help out a few days here and there. Please contact Melinda, mrome1@lsu.edu, or Andy, jcifre1@lsu.edu, if you would be interested.

Please visit our website to learn about additional philanthropy events. And don’t forget to e-mail Melinda at mrome1@lsu.edu if you have any information concerning events you would like to attend or organizations you would like us to become more involved in.

Recreation
REC Sports Signups
If you want to join the men's or co-ed softball teams, contact Josh (jdicharry@lsufoundation.org) as soon as possible. If you want to join the 7 on 7 soccer team, contact Broderick ( bhaygo1@lsu.edu).

Golf Tournament
Saturday, March 28th, 2009
We need sponsors! But please contact Andy (jcifre1@lsu.edu) prior to approaching a potential sponsor so that we don’t duplicate efforts. Applications for donations and sponsors can be found on the website for the golf tournament.
