Recreation

MBA Ballers advance to the semi-finals with their 6-0 win on Sunday and 5-2 win Wednesday. This is uncharted territory for MBA intramurals. If you see a soccer player in the halls, shake their hand or give them a high five. They deserve it. The semi-final game will be Sunday at 9:30pm. Come out and witness MBA history.

Golf Tournament

The newest versions of the sponsorship, donation, and registration forms are available on the Golf Tournament Website. Here is a note from Laney:

Hello everyone!

I hope you all are adjusting well to the Spring 2010 semester.

As you are aware, the MBA Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for March 27th, only 2 months away!  We really really need your help with sponsorships--so here is the deal:  I'm asking each of you to try and get at least a hole sponsorship or a team sponsorship which is a $250 or $450 tax-deductible donation.  The perk of a team sponsorship is that there are 4 people to a team, so many businesses will sponsor and not even fill the team, allowing you and your friends to play for free!  We are having a hard time finding a Title Sponsor ($3000), so if you all could help round-up the holes/teams, me, Jose and the rest of the committee can focus on the big sponsorships!

Here are some ideas of who to ask:
Your current employer
Your family's businesses; Ex: my stepdad's law firm has committed to a hole sponsorship
Your friend's (or parents' friends businesses!)
Your internship/past employment
**Most companies have philanthropy budgets and you'd be surprised how willing they are to sponsor if you just ask!
Thank you in advance for your help and let me know of your successes!

The poor audio and video quality, along with the camera turned sideways for half the video, is artistic expression, for what a night at Bogie's is really like.
