PHILANTHROPY EVENTS

There is nothing more rewarding than giving back to our local community while at the same time building relationships with local charities, businesses, and our fellow classmates.  Expanding our business contacts and networks is a key way to obtain job opportunities upon graduation and the MBAA Philanthropy events are here to assist you!  We know that everyone is busy with the many engagements that come along with the MBA Program, so this year we will not bombard you with volunteer events, but we will continue to work with our partners in the community, namely Boys Hope Girls Hope and Habitat for Humanity and continually update you with opportunities as they arise. We hope you will take the time to participate and please let me know if you have any ideas or concerns at ljoffr1@tigers.lsu.edu

10th Annual MBAA Charity Golf Tournament

It is never too early to start getting excited for the MBAA Annual Charity Golf Tournament!  For the past nine years, the MBAA has hosted this event in order to raise money for a local charity while also providing an opportunity for MBA students to get involved and network in the community.  This tradition will carry on this Spring and we are looking forward to record-breaking fundraising and participation! Although we will not be hosting this mighty event until the Spring, I want everyone to start thinking of personal contacts with businesses and golf professionals (aka potential players) who they can get to help sponsor the event and donate items for the raffle.  This tournament is a challenge to host, but also very rewarding and I think we as MBA students can handle it while also having a little fun ;)
